Probabilistic creep with the Wilshire–Cano–Stewart model

چکیده
Abstract Creep behavior is susceptible to uncertainty. Replicated creep data for steel can exhibit logarithm decades of uncertainty, which necessitates the development probabilistic models reliability‐based design. The deterministic Wilshire – Cano Stewart (WCS) model transformed into a deformation, damage, and rupture prediction via injecting uncertainty test conditions, pre‐existing material constants. WCS calibrated replicated quintuplicate from “single heat” 304 stainless steel. Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method with Metropolis–Hastings (MH) algorithm employed introduce sources uncertainties probability distribution functions (pdfs). predictions encapsulate most experimental outliers across isostresses‐isotherms. Interpolative extrapolative assessments reveal that minimum‐creep‐strain‐rate (MCSR) stress (SR) are consistent isotherms. captures range single heat using short‐term data.

A fuzzy production model with probabilistic resalable returns
In this paper, a fuzzy production inventory model with resalable returns has been analysed in an imprecise and uncertain environment by considering the cost and revenue parameters as trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The main objective is to determine the optimal fuzzy production lotsize which maximizes the expected profit where the products leftout at the end of the period are salvaged and demands wh...
متن کاملThe Reliable Hierarchical Location-allocation Model under Heterogeneous Probabilistic Disruptions
This paper presents a novel reliable hierarchical location-allocation model where facilities are subject to the risk of disruptions. Based on the relationship between various levels of system, a multi-level multi-flow hierarchy is considered. The heterogeneous probabilistic disruptions are investigated in which the constructed facilities have different site-dependent and independent failure rat...
متن کاملThe Probabilistic Threshold Model 1 Running head : THE PROBABILISTIC THRESHOLD MODEL The Probabilistic Threshold Model
A formalization of the Threshold Theory, called the Probabilistic Threshold Model, is introduced. According to the Threshold Theory semantic categorization decisions come about through the placement of a threshold criterion along a dimension that represents items’ similarity to the category representation. The adequacy of this theory is assessed by applying the Probabilistic Threshold Model to ...
متن کاملA Model for Creep and Creep Damage in the γ-Titanium Aluminide Ti-45Al-2Mn-2Nb
Gamma titanium aluminides (γ-TiAl) display significantly improved high temperature mechanical properties over conventional titanium alloys. Due to their low densities, these alloys are increasingly becoming strong candidates to replace nickel-base superalloys in future gas turbine aeroengine components. To determine the safe operating life of such components, a good understanding of their creep...
متن کاملAnisotropic creep model for soft soils
In this paper a new anisotropic model for time-dependent behaviour of soft soils is presented. The formulation is based on a previously developed isotropic creep model, assuming rotated Modified Cam Clay ellipses as contours of volumetric creep strain rates. A rotational hardening law is adopted to account for changes in anisotropy due to viscous strains. Although this will introduce some new s...
